Reduce Your Use - Say No To Single Use Plastics

Biggles Bar & Grill is committed to reducing the use of single use plastics, both in our restaurant and behind the scenes. It has been almost 18 months since IHG® hotels around the world have banned the use of plastic straws in our dining venues, and implementing this change in BB&G was an easy decision as many of our staff are very passionate about environment issues and sustainability.

As we are situated so close to the beautiful beaches of Sydney, the effects of plastic pollution are evident and we believe that each and every person on this planet should be doing their bit to reduce your use of single use plastics.

Things like plastic bottles, straws, plastic shopping bags and containers all contribute to single use plastic waste in our environment which takes hundreds of years to break down.

As such, while we are passionate about providing the best possible service to our diners, we are making changes to our distribution of takeaway containers provided to you. If you are purchasing food from Biggles Bar & Grill to take away from the restaurant, a $2 charge will be applied.

We hope our guests will reconsider their use of single use plastics and look into alternative options such as biodegradable materials or products like metal straws and reuseable bags.

If you have any questions about this new initiative, our superstars behind the bar will be more than happy to answer any of your queries.
